Familias Numerosas Europa is an independent informational portal. It is not the official website of the Spanish Federation of Large Families (FEFN) nor of the European Large Families Confederation (ELFAC). Everything published here is public data collected directly from those organisations' official websites. Our sole purpose is to make it easier to access across Europe in different languages.

1. Nature of the site

This website is strictly informational. All of its contents — news, contact information, benefit links, institutional pages and the responses given by the conversational assistant (chatbot) — are public data that has already been published by the organisations themselves on their official websites:

We do not speak on behalf of FEFN or ELFAC, we have no formal agreement with them to represent their positions, and we cannot guarantee that the information shown here is up to date with the latest version published on their official sites.

2. Limitation of liability

The site operator:

  • Accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, currency or completeness of the information provided.
  • Is not liable for decisions taken by the user based on what they read here, nor for any damages arising from applying that information to a particular case.
  • Does not provide advice on rights, benefits, taxation, grants or any other administrative matter. Any information of that nature is indicative only and does not replace advice from a qualified professional nor direct consultation with the competent authority.

3. Chatbot

The chatbot ("Asistente Familias") is an AI-powered automated assistant. It runs on a large language model that receives, as context, public excerpts from the official FEFN and ELFAC websites. The answers come from that automated model, not from a person.

  • Its answers are generated automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information.
  • It is not a member support channel for FEFN or ELFAC. It does not process registrations, cancellations, complaints or any administrative task.
  • It does not constitute professional advice of any kind (legal, fiscal, social, medical, educational).
  • Always verify critical information directly on the official websites or through the formal channels they indicate.

What happens to the conversation data is set out in section 5 of this notice.

4. Third-party content and links

The site includes links to third-party websites — mainly FEFN, ELFAC, national member associations, public administrations and media. The site operator does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Texts, images and other materials originating from FEFN or ELFAC remain the property of their respective owners. They are reproduced here for informational purposes under the right of quotation and linking, retaining attribution and a link to the original source at all times. If you own any of the reproduced content and consider it should not appear here, contact us and we will remove it.

5. Personal data and privacy

This site does not require registration. The data processed while you browse is the minimum needed for the site to work and to measure its use:

  • Usage analytics. Visits are measured in an aggregated and anonymous form using an analytics tool hosted on the site operator's own infrastructure. It sets no cookies or persistent identifiers, builds no profiles and shares no data with third parties. The legal basis for this measurement is the operator's legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR). For this reason no cookie consent banner is shown.
  • We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
  • Chatbot. The chatbot stores an anonymous session identifier in the user's browser (localStorage, key nc2_chat_sid) to preserve conversation context. That identifier cannot identify the user outside their own browser. Messages you send to the chatbot are transmitted to an automation server (n8n) which, to locate the fragments it answers with, queries a vector knowledge base hosted on Pinecone, and then queries an OpenAI language model to draft the answer. That server, Pinecone and OpenAI process the conversation data they receive on the operator's behalf, as data processors and for the sole purpose of generating the answer; the processing may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards provided for them. Under the OpenAI API policy, what is sent through that route is not used to train its models. The legal basis is the operator's legitimate interest in answering the queries put to it (art. 6.1.f GDPR). The assistant's server keeps the conversation thread linked to that session identifier; no confirmed deletion period is on record, and it will be stated in this section as soon as one is set. Avoid sharing personal or sensitive data (full name, national ID, health data, passwords) in the conversation.

Any personal data handled on this portal will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection. To exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction or portability, contact us at the address below.

6. Intellectual property

The design of the portal and original elements (structure, texts written specifically for this site, templates) belong to or are licensed to the site operator. Content imported from FEFN and ELFAC remains under the ownership of its original authors.
